What is the Veteran Roof Giveaway?
Every year, G&W Roofing honors our nation's heroes through our Veteran Roof Giveaway program. We know that many of our veterans face challenges after their service - including safe, reliable housing. Through this program, G&W Roofing provides a free roof replacement to a deserving veteran within our service area at absolutely no cost to them.
The new roof* will consist of labor and materials, including Owens Corning Duration® shingles, provided by G&W Roofing.

Who Can you Nominate?
U.S. Military Veterans
We welcome nominations for Honorably Discharged Veterans from any branch of the United States military. Widows of service members are also eligible for nomination.
Must Own the Home
The Veteran must own their home, and live in an area serviced by G&W Roofing to be eligible for nomination.
Background Check
The Veteran must consent to a background check as part of the nomination process.
Verifiable Roofing Need
The Veteran must have a verifiable roof repair or replacement need.
Open to Sharing their Story
The Veteran must be open to participating in storytelling (photo and video for marketing purposes).
Program Timeline
The 2025 Veteran Roof Giveaway will begin with the opening of the nomination period on Monday, September 1. The winner will be chosen and notified by the end of October, with the roof repair or replacement taking place in time to celebrate Veterans Day.
Nominations Open: September 1, 2025
Nominations Close: October 11, 2025
Winner Selected: October 20, 2025
Winner Notified: October 24, 2025
Project Installation: November 11, 2025
